Morehouse Parish Vietnam Era Veterans

The purpose of this page is to recognize and thank those African American Veterans from Morehouse Parish who were assigned within the combat zone of the Republic of Vietnam and it's surrounding waters, and who also attended and/or graduated from Morehouse High School, Union High/Delta High School, Our Lady Help of Christians (OLHC) School, and Bastrop High School.
A significant number of African Americans from Morehouse Parish were draftees, others chose to volunteer for military service, and still others were forced by the Criminal Justice System to enter the military. Regardless how they entered the military, they all served honorably, and at least six African Americans from Morehouse Parish made the ultimate sacrifice.
